chay choongs greater mastery of classical piano pieces has just inspired me to put more effort into my practice. i just cant stand being worse than juniors damn it
sometimes i just hate the ever so highly competitive atmosphere of this school. there are always so many imba people lying around. and it gives me so much pressure trying to compete with them so that i can respect myself for being just as good. but then again, steel is forged through fire, so i hereby resign myself to greater trials and tribulations.
might as well do some self-bashing here since im in the mood.
mr tanzying, you "think too highly of yourself" (Chay, 2007). you are letting all that attention from being able to play chinese pop songs on piano (grade 4 standard) and your dance (more like making a fool out of yourself) get to your head. and so much for your much self-vaunted powress in the maths and sciences. look at how you got stumped so easily in maths tutorial wheras other people regularly win olympiads. look at how you couldnt finish the chem test on time. your project high distinction would be impossible without wei liang.
look at others. look at ivan and scott who have totally mastered the piano yet are so modest about it. look at yuanchang who has so many sucessful projects under his belt yet never boasts it to anyone else. look at them and LEARN. for goodness sake havent you tasted enough of the bitter feeling of being humbled yet?
