im due to step down on the 13th, but recent complications have ensured that my council work will be extended by a month or two.
it mainly has to do with my passing down work. all the IT talents in the 35th SC got elected into exco positions, and thus couldnt become my IT director successors. in the end, two people who know very little to nothing about web design have been chosen as the next dITs. and unless they have someone to teach them and guide them along, they will fail miserably and their websites will be horrendous.
thats where i come in.
my job henceforth shall be to teach them the tricks of the trade of flash, html, photoshop and whatever little i know of php. from scratch, or very near.
i was quite depressed for some time as i couldnt find a good successor. but i admit, im as pleased with the post allocations as i possibly can be as i think my two successors have the potential to do a good job with the proper coaching, and are not hopeless slackers dumped into a position that no one is willing to fill. i thank the exco for that
besides, this will serve as a nice avenue to keep me from going crazy over block tests. of course, i also do not forsee this impacting my studies much. now the challenge is convincing my parents that that is the case.
